this film is from like a month ago. bummer. i suck at being consistent. anyway, a couple days before thanksgiving i went with a group of friends to yonkers, ny to collab on some shit. my friend mimi built a “nest” with rope at the top of this huge abandoned warehouse and chilled in it while i photographed her. i won’t be posting those photos because i never got permission from her to show them on the interwebz. i do, however, have pictures of the warehouse itself and the surrounding area. i also have pictures of white trash-infested walmart on black friday. fuck rednecks.

i haven’t updated this shit in what seems like months. i have so many better photographs i could post, haha, i just don’t have the time to scan them. i shot a bunch of film over thanksgiving break, and will be developing all of it tomorrow. hopefully that will be more interesting. i can’t even recall when these pictures were taken. sometime in the beginning of november. this band i play drums in, storm the bastille, traveled back to beautiful, scenic allentown, pa (gross) to play a show in eric eisenberg’s living room aka comet control studios. i also chilled at my parents’ house with my animal budz. shit was great.

my brother and his girlfriend host shows at his apartment in bushwick and they call it “brooklyn cat house.” on november 2nd there was a show featuring ‘Them, Roaringtwenties,’ Fingers and Toes, and St. Mannequins. shows there are always a fucking blast, but this was the first time i brought my camera.

i woke up saturday afternoon and stumbled upon a street fair on park ave, completely by accident. these things happen all the time, it just caught me by surprise because it was not far at all from my dorm. i wasn’t very interested in anything being sold, but it made for great photo opportunities, dozens of dirty looks, and a handful of “i’ll break your camera” threats. afterwards i hit up the almost-daily farm market at union square to finish off the roll.

my friend andrew took me to this awesome spot in williamsburg a couple days after i moved to the city. it’s incredibly sketchy, and involves squeezing your body through 2 giant holes in fences. once you’ve completed the task, you’re faced with this fucking beautiful skyline of manhattan on the other side of the east river. and you just sit on this filthy little cement strip and take it all in. i come here quite often now, and these photos are from when i let my classmate bobby in on the secret.

a couple weeks ago my friend jake and i went to “New York Hardcore.” it’s a tattoo parlor downtown somewhere around houston. he wanted to treat himself to a birthday gift, and i decided to tag along. it was the second time i’ve ever been to a tattoo parlor, and that shit gets better every time. the lighting in this place was awesome, and i took advantage of it while he was penetrated with a needle.

i’ve wanted to create some sort of photoblog for quite a while but have been way too busy/lazy. i’m not really sure what inspired me to do this. my work is very rarely displayed to audiences as broad as this, and i’d really just like some general feedback. i’ll do my best to update on a routine basis; i don’t own a digital camera and all of my prints must be scanned. all of the black and white negatives are developed by hand. this might be a bit backwards, but fuck, it’s legitimate.
i moved to manhattan 2 months ago. i’m currently sitting on 2 months worth of work (most of which has yet to be digitized).
here’s about 1/8 of that:

more to come within the next few days.
